Finally our long hot summer days are just about over, and shorter days and cold desert nights are here again. The sun is rising later, and the evening comes sooner. Autumn Equinox has begun.
We had our first rain of the winter here in Southern California this week. The puffy cumulus clouds engulfed the sky all day yesterday. At one point it rained in the backyard, and not at all in the front.
The evening sky is breathtaking in the Fall. God uses the sky as his canvas, and the sun’s yellow to paint endless streaks of color amongst the clouds. Capturing a glimpse of his beauty is awesome.
As the sun shifts toward the south, the arc of the sun across the sky each day ends smack in the middle of my backyard. The birds migrate south with the path of the sun each evening.
Autumn Equinox is here. Night and day are equal, but only for a short time.
In any case, the sun still rises each morning, and sets each day….we all see the same sky.
God’s earth is measurable, predictable and perfect, every day, month and year and on time, every time.
